I’m a wife, mom of two amazing sons, weekend adventurer, memory keeper, and someone who believes that the greatest gift we can leave our children isn’t a collection of things…

It’s a collection of stories.

This blog began years ago as a place to share pieces of everyday life, but as my boys have grown, I’ve realized something.

The moments that shaped our family deserve to be remembered.

Not just in photo albums tucked away on a shelf…

But through the stories behind those photos.

So this little corner of the internet has become our family’s journal.

A place to capture the adventures, traditions, lessons, laughter, and little moments that make a life together so meaningful.

Our Story

Our family’s love for camping began over the Fourth of July weekend in 2010.

Armed with a tiny four-person tent, very little camping knowledge, and two excited little boys, we unknowingly booked a rustic campsite with no electricity, got caught in a three-hour hailstorm, and nearly convinced ourselves we’d never camp again.

Instead…

That imperfect weekend became the beginning of more than a decade of camping adventures.

We’ve watched our boys grow from toddlers collecting seashells to young men helping build campfires.

We’ve explored state parks, hiked scenic trails, discovered hidden gems, taken road trips, and learned that the best adventures rarely go exactly as planned.

Today we’re beginning a new chapter with our travel trailer, but our goal hasn’t changed.

We’re simply making memories together.

Why I’m Writing These Stories

As I looked through old family photo albums, I found myself smiling at pictures I hadn’t seen in years.

I remembered the places.

The laughter.

The adventures.

But I also realized something.

One day, I may not remember every detail.

My boys may forget parts of these stories.

And someday, my grandchildren may only know these moments through photographs.

So I’m writing them down.

Not because every trip was extraordinary.

But because ordinary weekends often become the memories we treasure the most.
